Code of Conduct and Organization

I have read and agree to abide by the Frisco H.I.S. Code of Conduct and Organization.

Frisco HIS High School Teen Behavior Contract
Wear appropriate clothes! We want to have FUN so dress comfortably while being respectful of those around you. Questions about what’s inappropriate? Feel free to ask a FHIS leader or err on the side of caution and pick a different outfit.
I acknowledge that if my clothing is inappropriate, I will not be able to participate in the scheduled group activity or outing.
No drugs, alcohol, and weapons of any kind.
Sign in, stay on site, and sign out. Be respectful of the time. Please try to arrive on time and don’t forget to sign in. Remain in the venue during the event. Help clean up and sign out before you leave so we know you are leaving.
Use appropriate language during ALL events.
Leave phones and other technology in pockets or purses. Technology is discouraged as it inhibits good interactions. After all, the whole purpose of the group is to hang out with friends not your phone. Please give respectful attention and courtesy to others by limiting the use of electronic devices and not sharing offensive or indecent music, videos, or images.
I agree to limit use of phone at events and I will not use electronic devices to share inappropriate media with other teens at events.
Leave the house, restaurant, or venue cleaner than when you first arrived. Please be respectful other guests wherever we are at and clean up after yourself.

Cancellations for Events: Because our events are in high demand, in the event you need to cancel, please do so as early as possible to allow others to be able to take your open spot. If you are a no-show, your name will be flagged for future RSVPs. After 3 no-shows, you will not be able to RSVP for future High School events.                                                   

I acknowledge that after 3 no-shows, my name will be flagged and I will not be allowed to reserve a place at upcoming events or activities.  I will not show up to events that I have not RSVP’d for.

My teen(s) (if applicable) has read and agrees to abide by the Frisco H.I.S. High School Teen Behavior Contract and agrees that while at FHIS events he/she will:
 
Limit use of electronic devices
Wear appropriate clothing
Follow RSVP policy

By joining this group or attending a Frisco Home is School event I agree to accept all parts of this Release and Waiver.

Assumption of Risk
There are sometimes unknown individual risks and circumstances that can arise during Frisco Home is School events that cannot be foreseen. I understand that my participation in Frisco Home is School events, at any level, is to be taken at my own risk, with no liability on Frisco Home is School’s part, recognizing that there is a rare chance that illness, injury or even death could result. Additionally, I acknowledge that I am using my own capacity and assessment of risk when it comes to making my own decisions for myself and my children or the children in my care, and I am voluntarily making those decisions with the full awareness that there may be risk involved to me, my children, or the children in my care. By attending any event with Frisco Home is School , I expressly assume any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which my children, the children under my care, or I might incur as a result of participating in the Frisco Home is School  events.

Personal Responsibility
By participating in Frisco Home is School events I am acknowledging that I am solely and personally responsible for my own preparedness, health, life, well-being, choices, actions and results at all times, and for those of my children or children under my care. I am responsible for researching the Frisco Home is School event in which I am voluntarily participating, knowing the area, and bringing the proper gear for myself and children for all weather conditions. I understand that I am responsible for my safety when I choose to challenge my capabilities or personal health conditions at a Frisco Home is School event, for determining whether a Frisco Home is School event is at an appropriate level for me and my family, and for participating based solely on my own judgment. 

Emergency Medical Assistance
I consent to the application of first-aid or other emergency medical services to be applied to me, my children, or the children under my care, if needed, in connection with a health problem or emergency during a Frisco Home is School event, including calling 911 for an ambulance. I agree to hold the Frisco Home is School event facilitators, leaders, volunteers, and the Frisco Home is School board harmless as a result of any such injury or damage I may suffer due to the application of treatment, medical services, or emergency medical care provided or offered to me, my children, or the children under my care.

The Role of Meeting Facilitators and Meeting Organizers
I understand and agree that the sole role of the Frisco Home is School Activity Facilitators and Event Organizers is to organize the logistics of the events. They are not responsible for my safety or well-being or that of my children or children under my care.

No Liability
I agree to waive liability of the Frisco Home is School organization, Event Facilitators, and Event Organizers or any other member of a Frisco Home is School group, for any accidents, delays, injuries, mishaps, harm, loss, damage, death, lost profits, personal or business interruptions, misapplication of information, physical or mental disease, condition or issue, or otherwise, affiliated with Frisco Home is School or otherwise, even if I am expressly advised of the possibility of such damages or difficulties, whether caused by the fault of myself, the Organizers, other attendees or other third parties. This release and waiver extends and applies to, and also covers and includes, all unknown, unforeseen, unanticipated and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss and liability. In no event will I hold the Frisco Home is School organization, Event Facilitators or Event Organizers or any other member of Frisco Home is School liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages for any use or non-use of, or reliance on, the events.

Release of Claims
In consideration of being permitted to participate in Frisco Home is School events, I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim I may have against Frisco Home is School , its Event Facilitators and Event Organizers for any injury or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in the Meetings. I agree now that I hereafter forever release Frisco Home is School, its Event Facilitators and Event Organizers from any and all liability, damages, causes of action, allegations, suits, sums of money, claims and demands whatsoever, in law or equity, which I have ever had, now have or will have in the future against the Organizers, arising from my past or future participation in, or otherwise with respect to, any acts or omissions or anything related to Frisco Home is School.

Voluntary Consent
I acknowledge that I am participating voluntarily in these Frisco Home is School events with the full awareness that my participation may contain certain inherent risks to me, my children, the children under my care, and I voluntarily consent to all such risks. I give full consent to participating in Frisco Home is School events, and by providing my consent, I voluntarily agree to all of the terms of this Release and Waiver. Regardless of whether I have provided my signature or not, my attendance at a Frisco Home is School event signifies that I have read this Release and Waiver and I fully understand and implicitly consent to all of its contents.

All children listed on Frisco HIS Membership Application are bound under this agreement.

I understand that only children age 14 and up can attend Frisco Home is School High School/Teen Events without parent/guardian present.

Media Waiver

I authorize you to use the following information relating to me, my children, and my family: My picture – including photographic, motion picture, and electronic (video) images. I hereby grant to you the right to use, publish, and reproduce, for all purposes pictures of me in film or electronic (video) form, sound and video recordings of my voice, and printed and electronic copy of the information described in sections (1) and (2) above in any and all media including, without limitation, cable and broadcast television and the Internet, and for exhibition, distribution, promotion, advertising, sale, press conferences, meetings, hearings, educational conferences and in brochures and other print media. I further grant you all right, title, ownership and interest that I may have in all finished pictures, negatives, reproductions, and copies of the original print, and further grant you the right to give, sell, transfer, and exhibit the print in copies or facsimiles thereof, for marketing, communications, advertising or for any other purpose, as it deems fit. I also understand that Frisco Home is School is not responsible or liable in any way for photos that other members post on social media or otherwise share or distribute as we have no control over others’ actions. Should I object to a photo of me or my child being posted or shared by another member, I understand that I need to contact that member directly and ask him/her to remove or take down the image as Frisco Home is School is not involved or responsible for that situation.
